제목 In-depth analysis of the structure-property relationships in Aramid fibers using X-ray scattering, electron microscopy, and computer simulation techniques
초록 Kevlar and Nomex fibers are representative commercial high performance fibers of Du Pont, Ltd. These fibers have long been studied from various standpoints including the relationships between microstructural parameters and various property parameters of a material. As a result, variouis kinds of information is now availabe for either the microstructure or physical and mechanical properties or both. However, when we consider designing and tailor-fitting the structure-property relations as required in various end-uses, such currently available information is still not enough to meet the requirements. This implies that more in-depth information should be implemented to the present information. So, in this study we tried to find the more fundamental and systematic relationships between structures and mechanical properties of aramid type high performance fibers using WXAD(S), SEM, TEM and computer simulation methods.
