Eu3+and Dy3+ co-doped phosphor thin films were deposited on glass substrates by using the radio-frequency magnetron sputtering. The deposition was performed at 100 ℃, 200 ℃, 300 ℃ and 400 ℃, and subjected to rapid thermal annealing temperatures. The structural, morphological, and photoluminescent properties of the thin films were investigated by using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and uv-vis spectrophotometer, respectively. XRD data revealed that all the thin films showed the tetragonal CaMoO4 structure, irrespective of the deposition and RTA temperature. The photoluminescence spectra of Eu3+ and Dy3+ co-doped CaMoO4 thin films under excitation at 266 nm exhibited red light at 613 nm and yellow band emitting at 574 nm. The highest emission intensity was observed at 300 ℃ of deposition temperature and at 570 ℃ of annealing temperature. The CaMoO4:Eu3+,Dy3+ thin films showed a strong absorption at 308 nm and an average transmittance of 79% in the wavelength range of 400-1100 nm. The average optical band gap was found to be 4.1 eV. |
