제목 TMD Antibody Mimics for Bacteria Detection and Inactivation
초록 Antibodies are extensively used as recognition molecules in sensing and therapy owing to their ability to specifically recognize target molecules. However, protein antibodies are susceptible to physical perturbation and require very long time to discover and produce them. Herein, antibody mimics consisting of multivalent tripeptide assembly (TPA) phases on transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) nanosheets with strong Raman signals were developed for the selective detection and inactivation of pathogenic bacteria. The binding sites of bacteria selectively recognized by TMD-TPAs were identified by surface shaving and competitive blocking assays. The TMD-TPAs selectively bound to pathogenic E. coli or S. aureus and emitted their strong Raman signals to report its presence in human serum and urine. In addition, the TMD-TPAs could effectively kill the pathogenic bacteria in the wound of infected mice under near-infrared irradiation, allowing the successful wound curing in vivo.
