Gamma Irradiation-Induced Preparation of PVA/Glycerine Hydrogel and Its Characterization |
초록 |
The aim of the present study was to prepare highly swelling hydrogels, as compared to previously synthesized hydrogels with a k-carrageenan for a wound dressing. A hydrogel based on poly(vinyl alcohol) and glycerin was synthesized by a γ-irradiation. The chemical structure was characterized by IR spectroscopy analysis, while the thermal durability of the prepared hydrogels was assessed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The kinetic swelling in water and mechanical properties such as a gelation, water absorptivity, and gel strength were studied. |
