Block copolymer blends have the ability to build various self-assembled nanostructures. We have studied ternary polymer blend system(A-B/C) with amphiphilic block copolymer(A-B)/homopolymer(C) which the A and C polymer have attractive interactions. By controlling the fraction between A, B and C, the morphology of the blend showed various states, and under a specific condition, we found inter-connected porous structure in the blend. Now, we approach the higher control of the pore size by introducing cyclodextrin (CyD) layers a top of the blend for nano-filtration membrane. The deposited layers created nano-porous structure induced by annealing and selective etching of the component from the blended coating. We expect to have controllability of nano-porosity by changing the composition, deposition and etching processes of the layer coating. Advantageously, the active layer coating prevented the formation of bio-film as the comparison of the bare supporting membrane. |
