Graphene Oxide plates have unique atomic structures, high aspect ratio, and extraordinary mechanical properties such as strength and flexibility, which also make GOs ideal reinforcing materials in polymer nanocomposites. Moreover, the existence of residual oxygen containing functional groups such as hydroxyls, epoxides, and carboxylic acids on both the basal 36 plane and periphery of GPO introduces opportunities for chemical modifications on the surface leading to improved thermal stability, mechanical robustness, and electrical conductivity. We have demonstrated a facile method to hybrids GO plates/Ag/PEDOT:PSS(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene : styrene sulfonate) by Layer By Layer approach. The resultant hybrid GO plates were characterized by Transmission electron microscopy, FT-IR spectrophotometer, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscopy, Thermogravimetric analysis, Cyclic voltammetry. |
