The acrylic copolymers, which were used as base polymers for the preparation of pressure sensitive adhesives, were synthesized by solution polymerization of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and acrylic acid with 2,2’-azobisisobutyronitrile as an initiator. The graphenes used as reinforcement have the thickness of 1~5nm and the length of 30~50nm. Graphene/acrylic copolymer nanocomposites were prepared with the surface modified graphene of various contents (0.25, 0.5, and 1.0 phr). Dispersion of graphenes in the acrylic copolymer matrix was controlled using dispersant. The various properties such as conductivity, transmittance, heat resistance, and adhesion strength were dependent on the surface modification of graphenes. |
