제목 Behavior of colloidal Wigner crystals confined in an water-in-oil emulsion
초록 We found that barium acetate particles in oil-in-water emulsions prepared using the microfluidic system form a three-dimensional colloidal coulomb crystal structure. This crystal phenomenon occurs mainly due to charge-charge interactions through the oil phase as a result of small charges at the particle-oil interface. Based on the above, a hydrogel in oil/water emulsion was made by using sodium alginate in CHB and barium acetate in PVA solution in a microfluidic system. Also, the numerical analysis of the colloidal crystal structure was performed by introducing the Nearest Neighbor Theory into MATLAB. This study is important for the application of Pickering and charge-stabilized emulsions, emulsion production, encapsulation and self-assembly.
