Synthesis of pH-sensitive poly(ethylene oxide) -b- poly(1-vinyl imidazole) -b- poly(maleic acid) via transformation reaction |
초록 |
We have successfully synthesized water-soluble triblock copolymer exhibiting pH-responsive phase transition behavior via transformation reaction of ω-brominated poly(ethylene oxide) obtained from living anionic ring opening polymerization of ethylene oxide and RAFT radical polymerization of 1-vinyl imidazole and N-phenylmaleimide using AIBN. Using the PEO-based RAFT agent and AIBN as an initiator, RAFT radical polymerization of 1-vinyl imidazole(VI) and N-phenylmaleimide for preparation of block copolymer was performed in DMF at 110 ℃ for 72 h. The resulting triblock copolymer was deimidated by using hydrazine monohydrate with NaOH in DMSO at 120 ℃ for 24 h, followed by precipitating in diethyl ether. All the products were dried in vaccum oven at room temperature for at least 48 h and then characterized by 1H-NMR and size exclusion chromatographic analysis. The resulting triblock copolymer exhibited pH-sensitive phase transition. |
