제목 Synthesis of Acrylated Soybean oil and UV-Curing Properties
초록 Recently, there is an increasing tendency to use biomass as a recyclable resource, and several derivatives of vegetable oils are suitable for use in transformation.
In this study, epoxidation of soybean oil was firstly carried out by using hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid. Then acrylated soybean oil resins were synthesized using epoxidized soybean oil and acrylic acid using triethylamine and hydroquinone as catalysts and polymerization inhibitors.
As a result, the yield of epoxidized soybean oil was 39% and the yield of acrylated soybean oil was 37%. Epoxidized soybean oil was obtained as a yellowish transparent oil, and acrylated soybean oil was obtained as a brownish transparent oil.
It is found that 60% of unsaturated groups in the soybean oil were converted to epoxy groups and 67% of the epoxy groups were converted to acrylate groups.
The stability and mechanical properties of UV curing product will be discussed more detail.
