Numerous research groups have made efforts to develop advanced materials for the Li-ion batteries. In this work, carbon nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal treatment of an aqueous glucose solution in teflon-sealed autoclave. The particle size was controlled by varying reaction time, concentration, and temperature. For the synthesis of Sn doped carbon nanoparticles, proper amounte of SnCl4 was added to an aqueous suspension of carbon nanoparticles varying the amount of SnCl4 to control loading amount of Sn. The mixed suspension was then heated in an autoclave. Synthesized samples were characterized by SEM-EDS, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy. |
