제목 Gel Spinning of PVA/DMSO/Water System with Addition of Nano Particles
초록 Poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) fiber is widely used for industrial applications because of its unique characteristics such as high strength, high modulus, eco-friendliness and alkaline resistance. To get high strength and high modulus PVA fibers, PVA/dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO)/water system was developed by Cha et al. Ag zeolites and nanoclays are known that they can give antibacterial function to the matrix materials. In this study, we tired to make antibacterial PVA filament by gel spinning of PVA/DMSO/water dope with nano particles. The mechanical and thermal properties and antibacterial function of the filaments were evaluate with change of process condition and concentration of nano particles such as Ag zeolites and nonoclays.
