제목 Photoinduced Properties of Nanocomposite Azo polymer Films
초록
Azo polymers, well-known photoresponsive materials, are potentially useful as materials for reversible holographic information storage and various nano-photonic devices. The processes are based on the photoisomerization of azobenzene and photoinduced anisotropy by linear polarized light. In the nanocomposite films of the azo polymer embedded with inorganic nanoparticles, these photo-induced motions of the azo polymer can be strongly affected by the existance of inorganic nanoparticles. In this study, we fabricated inorganic polymer nanocomposite films with various concentrations of gold nanoparticles of 5 nm in diameter and azo polymers. Optically induced properties and mass transport of inorganic nanoparticles in azo-mediated nanocomposite films were investigated by the irradiation with linear polarized laser beams and the interference patterns as a function of gold nanoparticle content in nanocomposite films. Our results firstly demonstrate that gold nanoparticles in azo polymer greatly affect the photodynamic properties of azo polymers such as surface relief grating formation.
