제목 Preparation of crosslinked organic layer modified silica nanoparticles using surface-initiated polymerization technique
초록 In this study, surface-initiated polymerization technique was used to prepare organic polymer layer modified silica nanoparticles. 2-Bromo-N-(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)-2-methylpropanamide was synthesized from 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propan-1-amine and 2-bromo-2-methylpropanoyl bromide and anchored onto silica nanoparticles. Using the moieties as initiators for ATRP, styrene and N-isopropylacrylamide were polymerized on the silica nanoparticles to form an organic layer. Also were made attempts to form crosslinked polymer layer by copolymerizing divinyl monomers. The crosslinked polymer layer is expected to provide dimensional stability after removing silica component and stimuli responsive swelling/deswelling characteristics to the hybrid nanoparticles.
