제목 Co3O4/CNT nanohybrid for high-performance methanol sensing
초록 Co3O4/CNT nanohybrid structure is fabricated and its methanol sensing property is examined in this study. The Co3O4/CNT nanohybrid is fabricated directly onto silicon substrate by co-arc-discharge method followed by methanol treatment and oxidation process. The morphology and structural characteristics of the nanohybrid are examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmittance electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman spectra. The influence of oxidation temperature and quantity ratios of Co3O4 nanoparticles and CNT are investigated systematically by their physical and gas sensing properties. The highest methanol sensing signal is observed at 300 oC for 15 minutes deposition and oxidation temperature at 500 oC (15m-5 sensor). The synergistic effect is resulted from increasing the adsorption reaction of methanol molecules and oxygen ion-adsorption, which lead to enhanced sensor signal. Considerable selectivity, repeatability, and long-term stability are obtained indicating high-performance methanol sensing property of the sensor.
