제목 Microencapsulation of hydrophilic polymer shell and water-soluble core material by interfacial reaction
초록 Microcapsule(MIC) is the most useful device to deliver active materials. MIC consists of core and shell. Specially, when both water-soluble drug and polymer are used as core and shell, respectively, MIC swelling occurrs by water absorption and drug releases were easily.
In w/o emulsion phase, polyvinylalcohol(PVA), hydrophilic polymer, was used as shell material and cross-linked with glutaraldehyde(GA) by interfacial reaction. Microencapsulation was carried out during liquid curing coating process. MIC was synthesized by cross-linking reaction of shell with crosslinker in w/o emusion phase.
The size and morphology of MIC were measured with dynamic light scattering(DLS), scanning electron micrescope(SEM) analysis, and optical microscopy. The purpose of this experiment was to prepare microencapsules that contained water-soluble drug inside and had a diameter of 5~30㎛. MIC could be prepared as small as possible for better adhesion to target.
