제목 | An automatic serially-diluting centrifugal microfluidic platform for high-throughput nanomaterial synthesis |
초록 | We report a high-throughput gold nanomaterial synthetic platform using a centrifugal microfluidic device. An aliquoting microchannel was designed, so that each of solutions (a gold seed solution, a growth solution, an ascorbic acid (AA) solution, and water) could be loaded by only one injection. Besides, as to generate concentration-gradients of the AA solution, serially-diluting microfluidic structures were invented by pairing the AA solution-loaded microchannel with the water-loaded microchannel, in which the channel depth of the two was gradually changed in reverse. After loading the four solutions, the centrifugal force divided them equally into 60 aliquots to be introduced into reaction chambers. Owing to the serially diluted concentration of the AA solution, various shapes of gold particles were produced, and among them, the hexapod star morphology turned out the best substrate for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy with a limit-of-detection of 10-11M for Rhodamine 6G. |
