제목 Microwave Dielectric Properties of MgO/polypropylene Composites with Low Dielectric Loss
초록 Effects of MgO content on the microwave dielectric properties of MgO/polypropylene (PP) composites were investigated as a function of MgO volume fraction from 0.1 to 0.5. Composites of MgO filler dispersed in PP matrix were prepared by extrusion method and hot-molding technique. Filler ceramic, MgO powders with purities above 99% were calcined at 950◦C for 4 h. These calcined powders were heat-treated again at 1440◦C for 4 h and then milled for 24 h. With increasing of MgO content, the dielectric constant (K) of composites and dielectric loss (tan δ) of the composites was increased. These results are due to the connectivity among the ceramic particles and interfacial polarization between PP and ceramics. For the composites with semi-crystalline PP, the tanδ was strongly dependent on the degree of crystallinity of composites. The quality factor (Qf) and dielectric constant (K) of the composites with MgO content were also discussed.
