제목 Living-Free-Radical Dispersion Polymerization of Styrene using a Reversible Addition Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) agent
초록 Dispersion polymerization of styrene was carried out utilizing a reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) agent in an alcoholic medium. The effect of polymerization temperature on the kinetics, MW, PDI, particle size and its distribution were investigated and found to be strongly dependent on temperature. To obtain monodisperse polystyrene (PS) particles, the post-addition of a RAFT agent was employed and the feature of pre-and post-addition of a RAFT on the MW, PDI and particle stability were studied. Effect of RAFT concentration and the morphology of the PS particles in the RAFT mediated dispersion polymerization were discussed with respect to the different polymerization parameters.
