제목 Selective conversion of butene-2 to butene-1 over mesoporous silica catalysts
초록 A highly selective and active catalyst for the positional isomerisation of butene-2 into butene-1 has been developed by using a mesoporous silica. Incorporation of aluminum into mesoporous silica using a post-synthetic grafting method or direct sol-gel method increases the total acid amount due to the increase in the Lewis acidity level. From the results of butene-2 isomerization, the yield of butene-1 was increased although the selectivity of butene-1 was decreased due to an increase of byproducts such as i-butene, cracked fraction, and C5+ hydrocarbons. FT-IR spectra proved that the H site due to the silanol group may act as an active site for the positional isomerisation of butene-2 to butene-1.
