Hydrogen Bond-Triggered, Surfactant Free Synthesis of Mesoporous, Silica-Polymer Nanostructured Materials for the Remidation of Environmental Pollutants |
초록 |
We have developed a facile strategy for the synthesis of two mesoporous silica i.e. rambutan-like MSNPs (R-MSNPs) and hollow MSNPs (H-MSNPs) using a surfactant-free strategy at room temperature a high surface area (up to 1025 m2/g). A cationic polymer (PEI) with various MW (2kd to 750 kd) were used. The particle sizes were uniform with tunable surface structures by varying the loading volume ratio of Si/PEI (1:1to1:5), reaction time. We have tested the removal of pollutants in environmental remediation applications. Exhibited promising performances for the removal of heavy metal with a high adsorption capacity (qe), e.g. Pb=343.304 mg/g; Hg=289.2644 mg/g. In addition, synthesized materials have been applied for the efficient disposal of waste water containing bulky dye molecules like methyl orange with a high absorption rate >95% and removals of toxic MC-YR over 97%. Also high loading capacity of gold-NPs offered excellent catalytic activities for the reduction of nitrophenol (NPh). |
