Surfactant effects in mediated electrocatalytic reduction of cinnamyl chloride by electrogenerated micelle-solubilized Co(I)(bipyridine) |
초록 |
Surfactants are well-known to offer exciting beneficial effects in electrochemical science and technology. In the present work, effect of CTAB and TDTAB surfactant micelles was examined in the electrocatalytic reductive dechlorination of toxic cinnamyl chloride mediated by [Co(I)(bpy)3]+ in aqueous solutions. First, the surfactant aggregates were characterized by CV and RDE techniques using [Co(II)(bpy)3]2+/[Co(I)(bpy)3]+ as redox probes. The information was subsequently used to explain the differences exerted by CTAB and TDTAB surfactants on the cinnamyl chloride reduction process. |
