제목 | Design Control of Amorphous CoMoPx with Ample Active Sites for Effective Water Splitting |
초록 | In this work, we present the structuraldesign principle for synthesis of amorphous bimetallic phosphides (a-CoMoPx/CF)capable of effectively catalyzing water splitting. Porous Co-MOF/CF and defectiveCoMoO4/CF are used as template materials to produce a large numberof defects and voids. Theoretical calculations confirm a synergistic catalyticmechanism between bimetallic components. Nanosheet arrays with hierarchicalstructure have high ratios of exposed atoms, resulting in an increasedelectrochemical active surface area. As a result of the structural advantagesof the bimetallic components and their synergistic catalytic effect, a-CoMoPx/CFshowed low HER overpotential of 59 mV to reach 10 mA cm-2 at 1M KOH.Using a-CoMoPx/CF as both cathode and anode, the overpotential of1.581 V at 10 mA cm-2 and stable operation at 100 mA cm-2for more than 100 h were achieved, comparable to that of noble metal-basedcatalysts (Pt/C-CF||RuO2-CF). |
