제목 Determination of The Order-to-Disorder Transition of Polystyrene-Poly (n-pentyl methacrylate) using FT-IR Spectroscopy
초록 The Order-to-Disorder transition(ODT) of polystyrene-poly(n-pentyl methacrylate)(PS-PnPMA) with closed-loop type phase behavior are investigated by using Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (DRIFTS). The absorbance of band at 1730cm-1(assigned to the C=O stretching mode) in the spectrum increases near the ODT. In FT-IR Spectroscopy, this block copolymer consists of two transitions: lower disorder-to-order transition(LDOT) and upper order-to-disorder transition(UODT). The transition temperatures determined from a two-dimensitional (2D) mapping of the first derivative spectra of absorbance values against temperature over the wavwnumber. This mapping provides a surprisingly simple and direct method for detecting the value of ODT.
