제목 Ordered mesoporous Co-Al mixed metal oxide catalysts for CO2 hydrogenation to light hydrocarbons
초록 CO2 conversion into value-added products such as hydrocarbons or alcohols has been intensively investigated, and metahanation reaction by CO2 hydrogenation with a simultaneous production of small amount of light hydrocarbons such as ethane and propnae seem to be more preferred to achieve higher heating value. Although Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) reaction by using cobalt-based FTS catalysts has higher methanation activity, which is undesired product for heavy hydrocarbons production, the optimized ordered mesoporous Co-Al mixed metal oxides has potential to produce the synthetic natural gases with a higher heating value after a proper modification for the CO2 hydrogenation. The highly ordered mesoporous Co-Al mixed metal oxide (m-CoAl) revealed a stable catalytic and structural stability with an optimal ratio of Co/Al, where the irreducible Al frameworks enhanced not only structural stability but also CO2 hydrogenation activity to methane.
