Biotinylated Poly(vinyl caprolactam) Nanogels for Intracellular Triggered Drug Delivery of Doxorubicin |

In this work, doxorubicin (dox) encapsulated biotinylated poly(vinyl caprolactam) (B-PVCL) based three dimensional nanogel networks were developed and were crosslinked with disulphide linkages. The average sizes of nanogels were produced about 160 nm in size. The nanogels degrade rapidly to low molecular weight chains in the presence of the typical intracellular concentration of glutathione. The biotin conjugated NGs were specifically binds to cancer cells and effective delivery of dox into MCF-7 cells, through biotin receptor mediated endocytosis with reduction triggered release in intracellar level. These carriers could be promising for cancer targeted drug delivery. |
