제목 | Implementation of Smart Window Control System Composed of Liquid crystal-type Smart Glass and OLED |
초록 | Smart window is a glass whose transmission properties are altered when voltage, light or heat is applied. Examples of technologies that enable smart windows are electrochromic (EC), liquid crystal (LC), suspended particle devices (SPD), polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC). We developed an LC-type transmittance control smart windows. However, there have been few studies on how to control and use smart windows. In this study, to propose effective control of smart windows and various application functions, a control system using an MCU(Micro Controller Unit) was proposed. A control system for controlling the transmittance and emission of a smart window composed of an LC-type smart glass cell and OLED was implemented. The MCU-based circuit design finely regulates the rapidly changing transmittance, and the smart glass cell and OLED system connection can simultaneously control the transmittance and light emission. The possibility of development to the next generation system based on IoT was confirmed. |
