Deposition of PEDOT:PSS layer using electrostatic spray method |

During the past decade, there has been an intensive research for polymer solar cells (PSCs). PSCs could provide a significant cost reduction since their solution process may allow for the printing of large area solar cells on flexible substrates at low fabrication cost. Among the solution processes, electrostatic spray (e-spray) method is the most promising due to the compatibility with a roll-to-roll process. It also results in less material discarded and use much more diluted solutions when compared with spin-coating. Furthermore, the deposition efficiency of the charged mist is usually much higher than of the uncharged mist of other spray methods. Accordingly, we coated conductive PEDOT:PSS films that have a great potential to substitute metal electrode in the future using the e-spray and look at the parameters to optimize the conductivity with the goal to obtain the comparable conductivity of spin-coated PEDOT:PSS films without after treatment. |
