MEH-PPV [poly(2-methoxy-5-(2’-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene)] and PVK [poly(N-vinylcarbazole)] have been used as electroluminescent polymers. But, MEH-PPV was known that it decomposes when it was exposed to UV. This problem makes us not able to use MEH-PPV with Red-emitting material. In our research, we intended to find the most appropriate conditions; Temperature, Time, Atmosphere; of MEH-PPV and PVK. We will show the best suited photo-patterning condition according to their optical properties. The two polymers were characterized using 1H NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry), DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry), TGA (Thermogravimetric Analyzer), GPC (Gel Permeation Chromatography), CV (Cyclic Voltametry), UV-Vis (Ultraviolet Visible Spectrometer), PL (Photoluminescence), EL (Electroluminescence), and Microscope images. |
