The synergetic effect of expsnded graphite (EG) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on the thermal and electrical properties of epoxy composites was investigated. The morphologies of the EG were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The thermal properties of the composites were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). Thermal and electrical conductivity of Ag-EG/G/Cu were tested using a thermal conductivity tester and using a four-point probe electrical resistivity tester, respectively. The formation of CNTs network within EG network is attribeted to the enhanced thermal and electrical properties of the composites, and gives synergetic effects. |
