For the heat management materials in display industries, understanding the relationship between the packing structure of molecules and thermal conducting properties is required. In this research, porphyrin and dendritic alkyl chain based reactive metallomesogens were newly synthesized. The mixture of metallomesogen and thiol molecules exhibits columnar structures by self-assembly, and those phases were fixed by thiol-ene click reaction. Based on DSC and XRD, it was realized that the films formed various structure by the substituted metal atoms. These various phases were determined by the diameter of the metal atoms, thereby varying the planarity and crystallinity. Consequentially, the metallomesogen film substituted by Zn was exhibits the highest heat transition property.
