Preparation of denture base resinmodified by silica coated PMMA particles and its physical properties |
| 초록 |
PMMA is widely used as a denture base material. However, it has low wear resistance. To improve its wear resistance, silica coated PMMA particles were used in denture base resin. PMMA particles as substrate were synthesized by dispersion polymerization. Silica coating on PMMA particles were prepared by sol-gel method. The shape, morphology were investigated by scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. The surface hardness, wear resistance and flexural strength were measured using hardness tester, wear resistance tester and universal testing machine. Acknowledgement: Grant Number (10021149) |
