In this study Graphene Nanosheet and polypyrrole composite (PPy/GNS) is synthesized via in situ polymerization of pyrrole monomer in the presence of graphene under acid conditions as supercapacitor electrode materials. The structure and morphology of the composite are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1M NaNO3 electrolyte. The composite might greatly contribute to the electrochemical properties of the composite. The nanostructure of the PPy is a promising candidate for supercapacitors to have higher specific capacitance, better rate capability and cycling stability than those of pure polypyrrole. As a result, PPy/GNS composites were showed increased electrical conductivity and electrochemical capacitance performance. |
