It is improtant to solve the global warming because of generation of CO2 from combustion of fossil fuels. It is difficult to stop now producing CO2. So, the effective utiliztion of CO2 is one of the improtant ways to solve this problem. Among the various methods, photocatalytic reduction is the most promising technology. Recently, non TiO2 are interested and attractive for photocatalysis. Among them, perovskites are well known to good photocatalysts. The catalytic properties of perovskites could be altered by changing the stoichiometry and incorporating with cations. This present work is studied on the performance of Sr2TiO4 pretreated by H2 reduction and exfoliation for the photoreduction of CO2 into CH4. The Sr2TiO4 used in this study were synthesized by sol-gel method. The catalysts were identified using XRD, VU-visible, and PL. The CO2 photo reduction was conducted in a closed reactor with UV-lamp and the gas products were confirmed by GC. |
