Multi walled carbon nano tube heterojunction array for enhancing catalytic abilities of Fe2O3-TiO2 binary materials |

Fe2O3-TiO2 materials are visible light active photocatalytic materials. In this work, we supported the TiO2-Fe2O3 materials with CNT to enhance the morphological, opitical and visible light photocatalytic properties of TiO2-Fe2O3 materials. Ternary composites were synthesized by a simple one pot Sol-gel in-situ impregnation method. Product materials were tested by XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR and UV-Vis DRS studies. Catalytic properties were investigated in the degradation reaction of organic dyes. It was found that addition of CNT to the TiO2-Fe2O3 matrix have profound positive effects in terms of material properties. |
