제목 Patterning of Porphyrins using Electrohydrodynamic Jet Printing
초록  Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) jet printing is a direct writing technique using electric fields to eject inks through nozzle apertures.[1]. EHD jet printing technique is attractive due to their non-contacting nature and their compatibility with diverse materials and substrate types. It has advantages when compared with other direct writing techniques such as ink-jet printing. For example, EHD jet printing can control the diverse size and thickness of the dots and lines using one-size nozzle by changing the operating factors. The factors which affect on the morphology of patterns are the values of applied voltage, duty, working distance, stage speed and substrate properties.
In this research, micron-sized patterns of porphyrins on silicon substrates were successfully fabricated by using the EHD jet printing technique. Fluorescence microscopy has been used to examine the fluorescence properties of porphyrins. The morphology of the porphyrin patterns which are printed with the variously formulated inks and the effects of applied voltage, working distance, and substrate properties on the morphology of patterns are investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). We have also demonstrated the acid-vapor sensing properties of the porphyrins by exposing the porphyrin patterns on Si substrates to nitric acid vapor.
