Advances in design, synthesis, and processing of organic semiconductors for fine-tuning of optoelectronic properties have enabled significant advances in performance of optoelectronic devices. In particular, rational molecular engineering allows us to develop high-performance conjugated polymers with intense absorptivity, broad absorption range, appropriate energy levels, strong crystallinity, high charge carrier mobility, and optimal morphology formation for enhancing power conversion efficiency of organic solar cells to ~10%. In this talk, several innovative strategies to improve optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers and derived polymer-based organic solar cells will be discussed. |
