Preparation and electrochemical features of titanium dioxide/reduced graphene oxide composite electrodes |

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) / reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites were synthesized by the sol-gel method. We analyzed the morphology and structure of the as-prepared composites by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Electrochemical behavior was also examined by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge performance. In compared with pure TiO2 and rGO, the TiO2 / rGO composites showed highly improved specific capacitance at various scan rates and long cycle stability. These results suggest that TiO2 / rGO composites are promising hybrid electrode material for obtaining enhanced electrochemical properties. |
