The chemical reduction of graphene oxide (GO) typically involves highly toxic reducing agents that are harmful to human health and environment, and complicated surface modification is often needed to avoid aggregation of the reduced GO during reduction process. In our study, We obtained reduced GO with tea polyphenols (TPs) in coffee. The merit of this method lies in its low-cost, non use of toxic agent no hazardous waste, efficient removal of functional groups in GO. In addition TPs are biocompatible and biodegradable. Herein, This approach should find practical applications in large-scale production of widely soluble graphene. |
