Fabricating TiO2-Graphite nano composites for unique dual mechanism photocatalytic properties |

Carbon materials are getting increasingly popular in catalysis of different kinds and types because of their remarkable properties. Addition of Graphite to well-known Titania photocatalyst may generate unique photochemical properties. For this reason we synthesize TiO2-Grpahite nano composite by a modified wet chemical method. We examined the effect of different ratios of Graphite addition on Titania. Synthesized product was characterized by SEM and TEM for morphological character and XRD for crystallographic studies. Photocatalytic tests of composite are conducted to validate its potential in removal of hazardous organic wastes. Optimum conditions for Graphite addition are investigated. |
