Mesoporous nanofibers can be prepared in the pores of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) membrane using diverse pathways. Among them, vapor phase synthesis (VPS) possesses several advantages over evaporation-induced self-assembly (EISA) or sol–gel based methods. One particular advantage is that a variety of surfactants can be utilized as structural directing agents simultaneously. By adopting diverse pairs of structural directing agents, manipulation of the mesopore structures was realized, i.e. surface area, pore size, and even the morphology of mesostructures. In this study, F127 was used as a main structural directing agent, and a series of cationic co-surfactants was added to observe the changes in their mesostructure with respect to the chain length of the co-surfactant. |
