Enzymatic propanolysis of triacetin
The results of the triacetin alcoholysis catalyzed by Candida antarctica lipase B (Novozym 435((R))) has been presented. The optimal parameters of reaction, that is the temperature (50 degreesC) and the enzyme concentration in reaction mixture (7%) have been found. The influence of alcohol amount on the reaction rate is discussed. The higher 1-propanol concentrations cause the decrease of the reaction rate and, at the same time, increase the products synthesis efficiency.
