Adhesion mechanisms in particulate systems at different contact separation rates. Part I. Experimental
The effect of contact separation velocity and viscosity of the bridge liquid on the adhesion force in the range of low separation velocities have been experimentally examined. The results obtained and their statistical verification have confirmed that the adhesion forces increases with a decrease of contact separation velocity ranging from 0,07 mum/s to 440 mum/s. They also indicate that different adhesion mechanisms exist in the range of low and high separation velocities.
