The work addresses the method and computer program for retrofitting heat exchanger network (HEN). The method is based on network pinch concept. A general concept and calculation algorithms are described. Optimisation models are also presented which solution allows calculation of the so-called network pinches and identification of structural as well as parametric changes. In the second part of the paper, the description of the software developed and examples of application have been provided.
