Second part of the paper on the retrofit design of a heat exchanger network (HEN) by the network pinch method is presented. The computer software CHEMMAP developed to support the calculation is described as well as the application of the method to two industrial examples of heat integration in refineries. The application of the method allows substantial reducing consumption of energy media in heat exchanger networks.
