Leaching of beta-escin from chestnut seeds with microwave aid
The microwave technique was used in order to improve extraction of P-escin from chestnuts. The experimental verification of the process was carried out. Conciderably reduction of the process time was obtained. The extraction process with microwaves was described with the aid of classic transport equations. The values of effective diffusion coefficient D-eff were calculated.
