BASF has signed up two more partners to help deliver its new Colorflexx service package for self colouring of ABS. A group of seven companies is now supplying masterbatches (Albis, Schulman, Ultrapolymers, Clariant), feed units (Colortronics), mixing elements for injection moulding machines WAS International) and Terluran (BASFs ABS) to processors. BASF is taking responsibility for the whole process of switching to self colouring. ABS has become a commodity in a highly competitive market requiring efficient production and processing structures.
