Vibro-acoustic design of composites
SIMULATION TOOLS. The fast-paced development of new function-integrating lightweight structures is leading to increased use of weight-reduced hybrid constructions made of high-performance composites, especially for high-technology applications. At the same time, the rising customer demands for comfort and safety require a reduced vibration and sound radiation behaviour In this regard, vibro-acoustic simulation models developed by the ILK represent a valuable aid to the engineer as a means to fully exploit the high acoustic lightweight potential of fibre-reinforced multilayered composites in particular and to specfically use the large variety of composites for integrated lightweight solutions.
