One would think that Entergy Nuclear, which operates 10 reactors at eight U.S. sites, has enough in-house expertise to handle any job required to keep its plants running at peak efficiency. But Entergy has found that hiring contractors for certain high-skill tasks makes economic sense and still allows the company to retain control of the process.
