1-alkene oxidation to ketones catalyzed by palladium complexes of cyclodextrins modified with nitrile-containing groups
The biphasic Wacker oxidation of alkenes catalyzed by water-soluble palladium complexes with cyclodextrins modified with nitrile-containing ligands was examined. The use of metal complexes with molecular recognition ability was shown to increase the reaction rate and to lower the apparent activation energy of the reaction. The substrate selectivity of the systems proposed was determined: the maximum selectivity was achieved in the case of 1-hexene.
